Gary Nicholson

A graduate of the Melbourne College of Textile, Gary Nicholson has worked in the textile industry for over 40 years. Gary has experience in a diverse range of textile operations, which include dyestuff manufacture, textile chemical production, yarn, carpets, knitted and woven fabric processing as well as running multi national companies.

For the past 18 years Gary has been based in China, Hong Kong and is now living in Indonesia. During this time he has worked in Bangladesh, Korea, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Gary established new manufacturing plants, set up application, QC and R&D laboratories, product development departments as well as implemented ISO quality systems. 

Gary has experience in relocating manufacturing facilities, sourcing of textile machinery, dyes, chemicals, yarn, fabrics and speciality finishes. Over the past 5 years he has worked with large textile mills and major brands to improve Right First Time dyeings, reduce consumption of water and steam as well as lowering effluent output, for more sustainable textile manufacturing.

This knowledge, wealth of experience and diverse skill set can be utilised by textile companies to improve their operations.
